Many
young Muslims, with well-placed and sincere intentions to defend Islam against
feminism, or the ‘Left’, can actually end up doing more harm than good. This is
even more present among many Muslim lecturers and the emerging body of Muslim
apologists who have become very much akin — and unfortunately so — to conservative pundits.
"And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers." (Al-Quran 51:55)

Be Inspired by this Jerusalem Prophecy
“One of the sacred places on earth is Syria; the most sacred part of
Syria is Palestine; the most sacred part of Palestine is Jerusalem; the most
sacred part of Jerusalem is the noble sanctuary; the most sacred part of the
noble sanctuary is Masjid al-Aqsa.”[1]
The advent of Islām and
the Messenger of Allāh (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) was one that ushered
light into a world filled with darkness, and hope to a people filled with
dejection. He (sall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam) was indeed the bearer of glad
tidings.

The Islamic Method of Acquiring Knowledge
The following is a
chapter from the book 'The Way of thinking' by Hasan Abdullah, soon to be
published by Revival Publications.

Clothing in Islam
The following article written by a brother some
time ago, it has been slightly amended.
In the mosques clergymen, scholars and Imams alike, wear specific garments while delivering a Friday khutbah or giving talks at conferences. What type of dress has Islam determined for Muslims?
The use of word ‘clergymen’ in the above question, is indicative of a concept which has nowadays become widespread amongst Muslims and which therefore needs to be investigated. Unfortunately, it is an ill conceived concept that has been adopted and implanted in the minds of those who have been seduced by the Western culture, such as those ruling the Muslim countries today, along with their secular followers who like to see themselves as the ‘intellectual class’.

Ramadhan
The Obligation of Fasting
It is only when Allah (swt) revealed the Ayah, "O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that they may learn self restraint", (2: 183) fasting was made obligatory.
Another Ayah that emphasizes this obligation is: "Ramadan is the month in which we sent down the Quran, as a guide to mankind, also clear (signs) for guidance and Judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during the month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; he dose not want to put you difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and glorify Him in that he has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful". (2: 185)
